Optional MCP connections
Let a separately chosen client use only the Corner permissions you explicitly approve.
You do not need an MCP client to use Corner’s manual tools. A connection is optional delegated access for a compatible external client; it is not an in-app model connection or a way for Corner to read your chats or memories.
Start from a client you trust
Use the Corner application address and connection instructions supplied for your instance. A compatible client uses Corner’s MCP endpoint at the application’s /mcp path. This public guide is not that endpoint.
Client support and deployment readiness can vary. This guide does not establish hosted MCP qualification or promise that a particular cloud client can connect. If your instance or client does not support the flow, keep using the manual product and ask its operator for the supported setup.
Review consent carefully
- Start the connection in the external client.
- Sign in to Corner when asked.
- Check the client name, the actual Corner account, and every requested permission.
- Select only the permissions you intend to grant, then approve or decline.
If you are signed into the wrong account, stop and restart the connection with the right account. Consent belongs to that signed-in session and client request, not to whichever account you meant to use.
Granted create, edit, delete, or import permissions let the client make the permitted changes without asking for approval inside Corner each time. Approve only clients you trust with those changes. See what permissions mean.
End ongoing access
Open Settings → Connected clients to review each connection and its permissions. Choose Revoke access for the client you want to disconnect and wait for confirmation.
Browser sign-out does not revoke the connection. A client can continue within its granted permissions until its grant expires or you revoke it. Grants and refresh access have a maximum lifetime of 30 days; access tokens last five minutes. Revocation denies subsequent requests, but an operation already authenticated may finish.
Revocation does not undo edits already made or retrieve copies the client already received. Reconnecting creates a new grant and requires a fresh consent decision.
What Corner does not receive
Corner does not receive the external client’s conversations, memories, or model credentials through the connection. It receives actual MCP tool arguments. Do not place secrets in a tool request or assume an external client’s own handling of your records is controlled by Corner.
